Gael’s Q-Pulse solution set to help several departments within The Royal Hospital of Oman gain ISO 15189 accreditation

Gael’s Q-Pulse solution set to help several departments within The Royal Hospital of Oman gain ISO 1 | Gael Ltd:

Currently in the middle of a significant expansion project, The Royal Hospital of Oman will be implementing Gael’s Q-Pulse quality management solution (QMS) within several of its departments to help them achieve accreditation with the ISO 15189 standard next year.
The Royal Hospital is the flagship hospital of the Ministry of Health in the sultanate after being commissioned in 1987. The facility is a large, tertiary, acute-care hospital, which provides state-of-the-art services in the specialties and sub-specialties of medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology, oncology and laboratory medicine.
With four new wards built in the Oncology Centre and the establishment of an Adult and Paediatric Oncology ward, a day-care ward as well as a ward for medical high dependency, the Hospital is now in the middle of an expansion phase. It is targeting accreditation for its Laboratory and Medicine and Pathology departments to the ISO 15189 standard by using Q-Pulse as their QMS.
The Royal Hospital’s Q-Pulse project will mainly focus on the implementation of the Document, Audit and CA/PA modules within the solution. However, they will also be taking advantage the solutions 21 CFR features for electronic signatures in order to comply with CPA and ISO 15189 standards. This project will be first step toward implementing Q-Pulse within the Ministry of Health (MOH) institutions in Oman to manage QMS in the near future.
Alex Rowan, QHSE, Risk and Accreditation Manager, said: “We chose Q-Pulse to help us manage our documents, audits and corrective actions, with the main emphasis on achieving ISO 15189 accreditation in the coming year.”
